Software not working properly

Sometimes, the Sigma Magic software may not work properly due to certain settings on your computer. When Sigma Magic is blocked from executing certain tasks, it may result in the analysis not working properly or, in the worst-case scenario, cause Excel to crash. Some of the symptoms observed are:
  1. Main menu bar icons appear blank and are not displayed when you click the Sigma Magic button.
  2. Software prevents you from updating itself as script execution is blocked.
  3. No results are updated when you click on Compute Output.
Here are some things you can try to fix this issue:
  1. Ensure that you add the Sigma Magic installation folder as an exclusion within Microsoft Defender
  2. Add the Sigma Magic installation folder as a trusted location within Microsoft Excel
  3. Review your system policies that the IT admin sets to allow add-ins to run (for example, within Microsoft Intune)
