Unable to download the Setup file
Google Chrome may sometimes block users from downloading files - especially when we release a new software update; the number of downloads may be small initially. Google may not have sufficient history for this file and may block the download.
Method 1:
You usually have the choice to discard the download or keep the file. You can click on "Keep" to continue downloading the file. Sometimes, Google automatically discards the downloaded file. If that happens, search for the files in the Google Chrome browser. You can click the Downloads icon in the upper corner of the screen and view the downloaded files. Go to the Downloads tab and click "Keep" to unblock the file and start downloading it.
Click on the side arrow, click the three-dot menu, and click Keep or Continue Download. The file will now be downloaded.
Method 2:
You can disable safe browsing to download the file. Google offers three levels of protection: Enhanced, Standard, and No protection. The Enhanced Protection actively warns you about potential threats before they occur. This option automatically blocks most of the downloads. The Standard Protection alerts you only when the website or download is considered dangerous. The No Protection turns off the security features.
You can usually set the protection level to Standard, allowing you to download the setup file.
