Interpreting Results

Top Choice - "Eat Out" Wins Majority Votes

Movies and Bowling as Secondary Preferences

  • Both "Movies" and "Bowling" received a total of 2 votes each, showing they are moderately preferred alternatives.

  Least Preferred Activities

  • "Computer Games," "Archery," and "Relax at Home" received only 1 vote each, making them the least popular choices for the weekend entertainment.

Variation in Voting Preferences (Mean & Standard Deviation)

  • The mean values range from 0.25 to 0.75, with standard deviations indicating variability in preference.
  • "Eat Out" has a mean of 0.75, suggesting it was voted on by more members, whereas "Computer Games," "Archery," and "Relax at Home" have a mean of 0.25, showing minimal interest.

 Graphical Representation Confirms Trends

  • The bar chart visually confirms that "Eat Out" has the highest votes, followed by "Movies" and "Bowling," while "Computer Games," "Archery," and "Relax at Home" lag behind.

Conclusion: Decision Based on Majority Vote

  • Since "Eat Out" has the highest votes, the family is likely to choose this option for their weekend entertainment. If further refinement is needed, another round of voting could be conducted to finalize among the top 3 choices.
