If your data is in another workbook, you can copy and paste your range or table from one workbook to another. Select your data or table, click on Ctrl-C to copy the data to the clipboard, go to the target workbook Data Sheet, and then click on Ctrl-V to paste this data to the new location.

Note that table names are unique within each workbook. So, copying a table from one worksheet to another will copy the table contents, but the table name will be changed.
You can import data to your workbook in several different ways. Click on Data > Get Data to import data from various sources.
- Import from a File (Excel Workbook, CSV, XML, JSON, etc.)
- Import from a Database (SQL, Access, etc.)
- Import from Other (Website, etc.)
Sigma Magic also has some functionality for importing data. On the Data Sheet worksheet, click on Analysis Setup to open the dialog box.
You can import data from tables or ranges stored in other workbooks using this dialog box. Sigma Magic has some standard files distributed as part of the installation. When you click on the Import Tables button, these files are displayed, but you can browse and select any Excel workbook that contains the data you want to import.
Once you pick the file you want to import, Sigma Magic will open the file and list all the data that this file contains. An example is shown below. The first data row is obtained from the table name called Design and the column name is Paint Conc. 1. It contains Numeric data and there are 100 rows of data in this table.
If you want to import this row into your current project, select this row and click on the OK button to import this data into your workbook. This data will be placed on the Data Sheet worksheet.
If your external workbook contains a lot of rows of data, you can also use the Search bar to narrow down the data to be displayed so that you can quickly select the data of interest.
